First day of orientation

Yesterday was the first day of orientation.  They split the parents and the students away from each other.  Faith wouldn't let me take her pic so I took a sneaky one.  She is in the middle. 

Sunday Night

Cookout at home with games and a movie. 

Faith is taking care of her last things before orientation tomorrow. 

Saturday Art

Went to the Big Show at Lawndale Arts and then to the Meniel Center. Lawndale was a show of local Houston artists--very eclectic. The Meniel collection is impressive--Picasso, Klee, Ernst among others as well as BC's.

Ok but Andrew is really chintzy with the basil.

Made it to Elizabeth's house around 4 this am.

Where else but Beale Street could you find piano and guitar toilet seats to keep your jazz moving?

Long drive to Memphis and then on to Texarkana. Faith drove most of the way.  Ye-ah!!!

Long ride

Long. Mostly boring drive.  Cloudy with intermittent rain in Indiana. Finally stopped in bowling green, ky for the night. 

Fort Wayne

Made it to Fort Wayne finally!  Had pizza with Grandpa before heading onward.
